MARBELLA, THE PEARL OF THE COSTA DEL SOL

Luxury, tradition, and comfort merge in this amazing Mediterranean city. Located halfway between Malaga and Gibraltar, its 150,000 inhabitants make it one of the most populated cities in the whole area. Marbella also represents the favourite holiday destination for high-level tourism. It has become a glamorous destination thanks to actors and international personalities (George Clooney, Antonio Banderas, Julio Iglesias, Zinedine Zidane…) to name a few who have chosen to buy a villa here. No one can resist the beautiful landscapes of this area. Surrounded by sea and mountains, Marbella got an excellent microclimate, 27 km of sunny beaches (some very special, such as Artola Beach, declared a Natural Monument in 2001), golf courses, exclusive clubs, a wide range of hotels and restaurants, luxurious shopping centres, nightlife, a picturesque old town, and a distinguished atmosphere. A city that offers the perfect conditions for an unforgettable holiday or, even better, to live in all year round.

The real estate offer is very wide in this area: from small studios on the seafront to large mansions, urbanisations, and first-class residential buildings. The west side district – known as the Golden Mile – stands out especially for its exclusivity: the most luxurious villas, as well as some of the most impressive luxury hotels are placed here.

PUERTO BANUS: GLAMOUR AND LUXURY

Reflected in the Mediterranean Sea and backed by “La Concha“, Puerto Banus is the most famous marina of Marbella. Created in the 1970s by José Banús (a recognised businessman and builder), this area was designed exclusively for luxury tourism. Its popularity grew exponentially and today Puerto Banús is visited by some 5 million tourists every year, as well as being a favourite destination for celebrities from all over the world. With its Mediterranean flair, the area boasts luxurious shops and shopping centres, bars, restaurants, nightclubs and, above all, a magnificent harbour where, alongside the most impressive yachts, it is possible to witness the most impressive parade of luxury sports cars. This small area is mainly home to luxury apartments and studios.

NUEVA ANDALUCÍA, INTERNATIONALITY

Nueva Andalucía is a quiet area that stretches from Puerto Banús, to the natural spots of Sierra Palmitera. A very picturesque residential district, where the view caresses the green hills bordered by the renowned golf courses “Las Brisas”, “Aloha” and “Los Naranjos”. In this zone we find comfortable residential neighbourhood such as La Dama de Noche (located within walking distance to the port) and La Quinta placed at the foot of La Concha. Nueva Andalucía stands out for its privacy, exclusivity, and a verity of nationalities and is the home to the prestigious Aloha International School, which offers an educational service for children from the age of 3 to 18.

Undoubtedly an attraction for golfers, Nueva Andalucía offers all types of housing: from small apartments, beautiful townhouses for holidaymakers, to large, luxurious villas located on the areas different golf courses.

SAN PEDRO ALCÁNTARA, FAMILIAR AND QUIET

This former fishing village, placed at the western end of the City of Marbella, is an area of big potential which has seen an increasing development and demand in recent years. San Pedro Alcántara has tourist appeal due to a familiar atmosphere, a wonderful promenade, the new facilities of the Boulevard, as well as a wide variety of shops, restaurants, and bars. Families find this town an ideal location, due to the presence of several prestigious public / international schools and institutes (British Private School – Laude, Saint George’s School, Calpe School, Marbella Montessori School, Colegio San José). It also offers many opportunities for golfers: Guadalmina golf club, La Quinta and Los Arqueros (the first golf course in Spain to be designed by Seve Ballesteros), as well as all the golf courses of Nueva Andalucía all located a few minutes away by car. To the west, in the direction of Estepona, we can also find Atalaya, El Paraíso, Los Flamingos and the Marbella Club Golf Resort, which are home to the vast majority of the Costa del Sol’s golf enthusiasts.

The town offers a wide variety of houses: in Guadalmina neighbourhood there are luxury villas and townhouses with large gardens and views of the golf courses. In San Pedro Playa area which has seen the most development in recent years, it is easy to find modern apartments which offers a variety of amenities and unbeatable proximity to the sea and the old town.

ESTEPONA EAST, THE NEWLY DEVELOPED RESIDENTIAL AREA

Estepona, a beautiful town steeped in history, with its 23 km of coastline, was one of the first centres on the Costa del Sol to open to tourism. More than 50 years after the arrival of the first holidaymakers, Estepona is still a very popular destination which has kept its original charm intact despite tourist development.

Marbella Vacation Homes focuses mainly on the eastern part of Estepona: a very residential area, newly built and characterised by beachfront residential complexes, equipped with spas, gyms, and all kinds of private services. BENAHAVÍS, A PARADISE FOR NATURE LOVERS

Benahavís is a typical Andalusian mountain village, situated only 7 km from the coast, halfway between Marbella, Ronda and Estepona. With its narrow streets and whitewashed houses, surrounded by lush vegetation, this town stands out as a destination for residential tourism and for its international reputation, thanks to luxury Resorts and Country Clubs such as La Zagaleta. Its good reputation is also due to an excellent public school that attracts students of various nationalities. Known as the “Gastronomic Corner of Andalucía“, Benahavís is also famous for the large number of restaurants that line its streets. Crossed by Guadalmina, Guadaiza and Guadalmansa rivers, the village is well connected to the surrounding towns and offers a wide variety of golf courses, swimming pools, tennis courts for public use, as well as numerous hiking trails.

The real estate in Benahavís is distinguished by newly built properties and luxury areas and are favoured by many (property owners), due to the excellent economic and financial benefits offered by its town hall, such as possible reduction to municipal taxes, like the IBI.
